Mr. Wickett, was born and raised in Vancouver. He was, until 2024, a trial lawyer specializing in commercial and administrative litigation. He also has extensive experience in real estate and leasing litigation. He has appeared as counsel in all levels of court in British Columbia and before various administrative tribunals.
On April 1, 2024, Mr. Wickett resigned from the firm of MacKenzie Fujisawa where he was a partner for 25 years. He served two terms as managing partner of MacKenzie Fujisawa. Since leaving MacKenzie Fujisawa, Mr. Wickett has practiced primarily as an arbitrator and is currently a member of three administrative tribunals. Mr. Wickett has conducted numerous arbitrations in real estate, leasing and other assorted complex commercial matters.
Mr. Wickett was a member and then Vice Chair of the Environmental Appeal Board, Forest Appeals Commission, and the Oil and Gas Appeal Tribunal of British Columbia. In this capacity he has written numerous judgments on environmental, forestry and First Nations issues. Mr. Wickett served almost 20 years on these tribunals. His final term of appointment ended on December 31, 2022. Thereafter Mr. Wickett has been appointed to and currently serves as a member of the Property Assessment Appeal Board of British Columbia, the Sports Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada and the Law Society of British Columbia Discipline Tribunal.
Dispute Resolution Experience and TrainingMr. Wickett is a member of the Canadian and B.C. councils of administrative tribunals and have annually, since 2003, taken a variety of dispute resolution courses from these organizations in addition to those offered by the Environmental Appeal Board office including:

Bias, apprehension of bias and conflict of interest
- Originating author and continuing editor of the waste management chapter of the Due Diligence Desk Book published by CLE
- Author of numerous papers presented at CLE and related organizations on the subject of environmental and administrative law.
