Mr. Murphy practices in the areas of business law and has a broad range of experience dealing with corporate commercial and technology law matters, as well as resolution of business disputes. He acts for clients in all manner of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, start-ups, financings, corporate governance and contract negotiations.

He began his career with Borden Ladner Gervais LLP in Calgary, Alberta, practiced internationally with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Europe, and served as in-house legal counsel with a multinational software company based in Paris, France.

Mr. Murphy sits as a director and advisor on several public and private company boards and enjoys mentoring start-ups and founders.

Over the past 15 years, Mr. Murphy has successfully:

– served as counsel in connection with commercial arbitrations;
– been appointed as a mediator by parties to complex business disputes; and
– been engaged as legal counsel in numerous business disputes and settlements.
