Diversity Policy

The Board of Directors of the Centre values the benefits diversity brings and recognizes that diversity of thought and experience adds value to the Board. Diversity promotes the inclusion of different perspectives and ideas and improves oversight, decision-making and governance. The Board is committed to fostering a culture free of unconscious bias.

The Board seeks to develop and maintain a board comprised of talented and dedicated directors with a diverse mix of expertise, experience, skills and backgrounds. When assessing Board composition or identifying suitable candidates for appointment or re-appointment, the Board will consider candidates using objective criteria having due regard to the benefits of diversity and the needs of the Board. For the purposes of this policy, diversity includes but is not limited to geography, age, gender, ethnicity, indigenous identity, persons with disabilities, sexual orientation and other personal characteristics. In particular, the board should include an appropriate number of women directors.
